Our tables play like a dream and are designed to be low maintenance. Like all soccer stars, though, they'll require some attention, every once in a while, to stay in world class form.
The four steps to ensure peak performance are:
- lubricating the rods
- cleaning the playing surface
- cleaning the handles , and
- cleaning the balls.
Lubricating the rods
Our rods are designed to glide super smoothly. When they start to feel slow they will need to be lubricated.
Using WD40 or a silicone lubricant spray (which is longer lasting),. lightly spray the inner rods where visible and areas of the outer rod that pass through the sides of the table. Spin and move the rods side-to-side to evenly spread the lubricant.
Avoid spraying the playing surface and wipe any excess lubricant from the rods to prevent any dripping.
Cleaning the playing surface
Keep the playing surface clean to ensure the ball rolls true. Simply spray the surface with a glass cleaner and wipe with a soft cloth.
With sandblasted glass surfaces, the same cleaning method applies, although more effort is typically required to remove dirt caught in the textured surface.
Cleaning the handles
Soak a cloth in warm, soapy water and wipe the rods to keep them super grippy.
Cleaning the balls
Keep the playing balls clean as they will spread dirt and grime on the playing surface when dirty. Bathe playing balls in warm, soapy water and scrub lightly with a sponge.
